My name is Melanie Rawls. I am the oldest of three. My mother, whose a breast cancer surviour, works with Hattiesburg Public School District.  My father had a stroke two years ago which left him unable to work. My brother goes to HHS and is in the 10th grade.  I myself also work with HPSD.  I tutor second and third grade at Rowan Elementary School.  I have enjoyed working with children since graduating high school from HPSD in 2001.  I once heard a few of my teacher say, reach one, teach one.  Well personally, in today's society reaching one is just not enough.  While I know I can save the world, knowing that I have blessed a child's life, is a major blessing to me.
